The location is excellent,and very close to public transportation stations. The room is a bit too big for a solo traveler, but very comfortable for a vacation. The kitchen is well-equipped, which would be great for those who enjoy going to the supermarket to buy ingredients and cook their own meals.

Offering a heated outdoor lap pool and hot tub, L'Hermitage Hotel includes rooms with a flat-screen TV. Vancouver City Centre SkyTrain is 300 m away. We stayed in 7 rooms and all were clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and we got $10 discount/room for food at the restaurant upon check-in, so that was a plus. The pool and the gym, though small in size, were well equipped and met our needs. Staff had been extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, from booking taxis to accommodating with our changes and last minute adjustment. Location was hard to beat, right between Robson and W Georgia, plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops, not to mention that it is right next to Medina, a popular brunch cafe.

Wonderful staff who seem to enjoy having guests and sharing their knowledge and experiences about the island. Adventuring Alert bay is a unique experience...we will definitely come again.

Wisteria Guest House felt like a home away from home. The Bedroom and communal Room were very cute and cozy (the homemade cookies were a delight!). The Garden felt like a green haven. And our biggest highlight was of course Steve, the cuddly wisteria cat!
