It was my second time in the hotel and everything was great! The staff is super friendly and the hotel is centrally located!

The accommodation enjoys a central and very quiet location close to the university and the cantonal hospital. The hotel has a small garden and free WLAN. Good location for access to all areas of the city, especially as there was a free Basel card for public transport.Hotel was very quiet. Breakfast was good. Free hot drinks throughout the day was welcoming

The family-run GAIA Hotel Basel can be found right across from Basel Main Train Station, only a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre. All rooms include a minibar which is refilled every second day and which can be used free of charge. The staff were extremely wonderful & friendly. Very willing to go the extra mile to make our stay fabulous! We were able to check in an hour early & they allowed us to check out 2 & a half hours late. It was so hot out they offered us water bottles every time we passed the desk. Even for our two dogs! Who they treated like royalty with a mat & dog bowls in the room. The free mini bar was awesome! We were so hot when we arrived, it was awesome to have cold water, juice & beer in the room to drink. The free public transportation access, 50% off to museums & 20CHF electric bike rentals were also wonderful perks! I wish we had stayed more than one night!

The Basel Exhibition Centre can be reached by tram within 10 minutes. It was right by the train and metro, so perfect to get around where I needed.
