Featuring an extensive garden, a sun terrace with swimming pool, spa treatments and free Wi-Fi throughout, this hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from the Arenal Volcano National Park and from La Fortuna... The hotel was a "horizontal" complex in that all rooms were at ground level with just two rooms per building and the buildings are scattered throughout the property. As the rooms were on ground floor the view was limited, I guess because of privacy concerns by just stepping out the the door the the Arenal volcano is right in front of you, an amazing view! The breakfast was a well stocked buffet and the a la carte restaurant was also very good. For a less formal atmosphere we tried the excellent Sushi bar at the pool that is open til 10pm. (There is also a pizza place but we didn't try them). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tours are available at the hotel and we took one to the volcano and another to jungle tour with suspension bridges. Both were good but we preferred the jungle tour. The thermal water hot pool was a great place to relax after hiking and sightseeing. If you have a car and feel a little adventurous the "Rio Celeste" in the Tenorio Volcano National Park is worth the trip. Its about 90mins from the hotel but be aware that the walking trail in the park is about 5 to 6 Km to take in all the viewing points and places can be uneven. To get to the waterfall there are perhaps 200 steps down (and then back up again!)

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Tifakara Boutique Hotel is located just outside Arenal Volcano National Park in Fortuna where you can enjoy stunning volcanic views. La denominazione Birdin Oasis è pienamente azzeccata l'hotel è immerso letteralmente in una tripudio di piante tropicali e il giardino è pieno di piante fiorite. Per arrivare alle camere si passa in una galleria di verde. Eccezionale è la presenza allìinterno della struttura di due pozze d'acqua che osptano vari tipi di rane tra cui la rana verde dagli occhi rossi e quella rossa con le zampe blu. Una delle pozze è protetta pubblicamente in quanto dichiarata santuario degli anfibi. L'hotel tutte le sere organizza per gli ospiti un tour alla scoperta delle rane ... e si ha giò un assaggio di quello che può offrire il Costa Rica in termini di natura. Le colazioni sono abbondantissime ed i personale è veramente squisito. La piscina e le vasche idrommassaggio sono il top dopo una giornata in escursione.

Dotato di una piscina all'aperto, di un ristorante e di rilassanti sorgenti termali vulcaniche, l'Hotel El Silencio del Campo si trova a 6 minuti di auto da Fortuna e offre gratuitamente la... It was the best hotel during my entire trip. Some improvements and comments (see below) did not affect the overall rating and I would gladly stay there again. I loved the nature around the hotel which is well taken care of, you can clearly see great work of gardener. Also, taking care of animals (e.g. feeding birds) is a nice practice. The views to the volcano are amazing. Hot springs were the highlights of my staying - clear and warm water surrounded by lush green nature and flowers. I do not know if the hotel was full or not but there were always plenty of sun beds and spots in the hot springs. People also seem to respect the place as there is no noise. The lady who worked at the bar was extremely nice and helpful and she made the best cocktails (not sure the name Maya, or Maria?). She also helped me to spot the sloth near by. You could clearly see she enjoyed her work. The room was very spacious and clean with all required amenities. Extra point for availability of repellent. The staff at the reception and restaurant was very friendly and helpful. As a customer you get a nice gift - a hotel bag. I can definitely recommend Hotel El Silencio del Campo.

Situato a Fortuna, a 20 minuti di auto dal Vulcano Arenal, l'Hotel Arenal Springs Resort & Spa offre un ristorante, una piscina all'aperto e la connessione WiFi gratuita. L hotel è molto bello e curato . La mia camera era immensa e con due jacuzzi con acqua termale . Lo staff gentilissimo . La colazione ottima , abbondante e di qualità . Le piscine bellissime . Tutto straordinario

Pura Vida Hotel si trova a Alajuela e propone la vista sul giardino, un giardino, una sala comune, una terrazza e un ristorante. Great place to stay after a long journey, travelling from the UK. We arrived very late but were warmly welcomed. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful garden. Thoroughly recommend, especially if you're looking for peace and quiet not too far from the airport. Extra bonus: our car hire company (Wild Rider) delivered to Pura Vida, making for a very easy departure.

Offering an outdoor pool, Hotel La Guaria Inn & Suites is located in Alajuela, just a 5-minute drive from Juan Santamaría International Airport. Fab location in Alajuela. Easy walk from bus station and to central plaza and market. And great restaurants in this town. Easy to book tours from here. The pool is lovely and there are several seating areas around the pool. As a solo traveller, I was happy to meet other travellers while at the pool.

Situato appena fuori dal Parco Nazionale del Vulcano Arenal, Il casa Luna Hotel & Spa vi accoglie in un albergo a basso impatto ambientale, dove troverete una piscina all'aperto, un centro benessere e... Casa Luna Hotel & Spa is a lovely place to stay. The gardens are beautiful, many many many flowers and some birds, there is a short trail around the hotel in the "jungle" and a lot of ponds with frogs. The rooms are quiet, very clean, with extremely comfy beds, clean bathroom. The restaurant was really good (we had dinner; tried the steak, wow ! and breakfast: wide choice, with eggs prepared fresh). There are some pools, the hot water pools are really private for 2-4 people (they are not with "thermal" water of the area, but heated, but still great). It was our first hotel after 1.5 weeks in Costa Rica where we were greeted with welcome drink, nice, thank you ! AirCon was efficient. They offer a lot of tours also.
