Set on a riverbank and surrounded by jungle, Tortuga Lodge offers an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a restaurant serving fusion cuisine with Caribbean flavours. All rooms have river views. This pace is amazing! So much animals to spot, lovely staff, great food. We had an excellent time.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and an extensive garden, Hotel Banana Azul is located in Playa Negra beach and 2.5 km from Puerto Viejo town centre. Free WiFi access is available in all areas. Amazing location by the most naturally gorgeous black sand beach. The property was well manicured and felt as if you were in the middle of the jungle.

Situated 150 metres from Playa Cocles Beach, Caribe Town Bungalows offers tropical gardens and a pool with a swim-up bar. Puerto Viejo town is just 3 km away. We really loved our stay at Caribe Town. The place is calm, relaxing and clean. Waking up to the sound and colors of the of the jungle every morning was beautiful. In the garden we saw a sloth, frogs and long lines of ants crawling their way along the small path. As the bungalows are not right next to each other you won't hear any of the other guests. The breakfast was delicious (especially the Caribbean french toast), the staff is super nice and helpful. There were two well-behaved dogs who turned around when we told them to (important to us, my girlfriend is afraid of dogs). The beach is just a few meters away (but not for swimming though due to rip currents) and there's a few good restaurants nearby. So in sum we totally recommend this place.
