El Castillo is a stylish adults-only boutique hotel set high above the Pacific Ocean in Ojochal. We were only 2 guests in the entire hotel treated like 2 VIPs. The property has got amazing and very helpful staff who cares about you like you are part of their family. Delicious breakfast. And on the top we have been given free room upgrade. Many reasons why we extended our stay by one more overnight.

This hotel is located about 2 km from Quepos, 5 minutes’ drive from Manuel Antonio National Park. Its spacious suites have a kitchenette and jungle views, and there is an outdoor pool. Beautiful hotel with some jungle vibes! The rooms were huge, always spotless, I don’t understand how you can have a hotel so close to nature and still absolutely ZERO bugs inside (ofc you must keep your windows closed for this). The pool area was lovely, I could’ve spend hours there just watching the birds and monkeys. The area in general is not very walkable, but if you have a car or take the bus, the location is great. 5-10min drive to restaurants, beach, the national park. The roads are narrow and steep but the traffic is calm and considerate. The staff at Plaza Yara were also super helpful and kind, we absolutely loved staying here. 100% recommend!

The bed was incredibly comfortable; I slept really well. The bathroom was one of the best, most modern, and cleanest I have encountered on this trip, which included staying in 12 different hotels.

The lady at the reception was very nice and moved us to a room on the 2nd floor when we were not happy with ours. Great Service!

Great location, super confort in a junior suite like accommodation at a fair Price. Staff all ivre are very friendly. Nearby the park and beach. Many good restaurants nearby.
