Built in 1843, the Neoclassical Hotel Aktaion Syros is located right on the port of Ermoupolis, within walking distance of the town’s historical centre. Great location by the port. Very quiet and clean. Great value for money. But foremost has such amazing vibes, having maintained the original architecture of the building. Seldomly you can find a hotel with a character. Depending on the room you may have amazing view to the port.

The location is at a prime location, easy to move around the city, and the view from our balcony was excellent; we could see the Church of Nicholas from there. The room was very clean and tidy, with a very artistic design. The host also gave us good recommendations regarding restaurants, tourist attractions and taxi transfers, we really enjoyed our stay there. We have no trouble doing laundry in the premises (after our long journey in Europe); Christof is very helpful and understanding in this. We highly recommend this hotel. Room with a fantastic view. Close to all necessary locations that satisfy a traveler's expectations, e.g., supermarkets, restaurants, the beach, locally famous cafe bars, etc. Highly recommended by a native who has traveled to over 15 countries in Europe and spent a great deal of his life abroad.

I certainly recommend it. It is very cozy. Design is superb, esp. in the outside areas. The pool is quite big with plenty sunbeds. What surprised us the most was that the prices of food/drinks were very reasonable for 4-star hotel and the food was always super tasty.

Boasting a privileged location, just metres away from Ermoupolis centre, Hotel Ploes is housed in a listed, early 19th-century Neoclassical mansion. Ploes is my new favorite hotel! It’s absolutely stunning, the art details, the care the owners have taken in restoring it, it’s simple but elegant and almost like staying in a good friends home. Our bedroom was gorgeous, the amenities were just right, the access to swim is amazing and unlike anything I’ve experienced. The breakfast is the best I’ve had at a hotel! The staff are incredible and go above and beyond, there is nothing they won’t do to make your trip amazing.

The view of the port from the balcony was amazing! Everything was great, check in and out was easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful

Housed in a historic building dating back to the 19th century, Syrou Melathron is located in Vaporia, near the Asteria Bay. The location was perfect for exploring Syros, and there's a swimming platform nearby with amazing views of the coastline, the hotel has beach towels if you ask! There's a bus stop in front of this property. Breakfast features a large assortment of fresh fruits, spinach and cheese pie, breads, eggs, fresh orange juice, and many other delicious items. And we loved dining on the outdoor terrace that has sublime seaviews. Our favourite staff member was the lovely young woman who served the breakfast. She was always smiling, helpful, and friendly. Our room was very small but the glorious sea view we had on the 2nd floor compensated. We stayed for a week (we did miss having extraroom and a kitchen for a week long stay). There's also an elevator to the 2nd floor. Beds were firm but comfortable and we had no problem sleeping. It was quiet at night. Our room was very clean and housekeeping was daily. Wonderful shower. There was a wardrobe to hang clothes and a safe.. We noticed that the bathroom walls could use a fresh coat of paint. But help was always available: when our bolt didn't work on our door, it was fixed immediately. There's also a coffee shop where you can purchase beverages. We really loved this hotel: the beautiful architecture, the location was easy walking distance to town, and a 20 minute walk from the port. It's a historical building that has gorgeous architectural features. It's beautiful and charming (and quirky too) boutique hotel. It's very special. Oh, and the WiFi was great. We'd return in a heartbeat!
