Fantastic location 5 minutes from the main bus stop but very quiet. Michael was a great host (got us in touch with a fantastic taxi driver who took us to Omey Island and back for a reasonable price), the sitting room on the ground floor had tea and coffee and great selection of books and games. Breakfast was great! Truly the best experience as a base to explore Connemara. I have only superlatives to say.

It’s also convenient to reach from Dublin without a car: take a train to Westport and then the 423 bus (be sure to check the bus schedule in advance; the bus stop is at Mill st). The rooms offer a stunning view of the fjord!

Great location with just a 5 min walk to the centre of the city.

Also thank you for the birthday surprise—it really made day extra special. The food was also fantastic—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every meal was a treat, and the cozy setting made dining even more enjoyable. Honestly, everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a charming and relaxing getaway in Roundstone, Co.Galway.

Very friendly staff, the ensuite room was very comfortable and clean, and the surroundings calm. I highly recommend the place for a trip to Connemara.

Das Alcock and Brown Hotel in Clifden ist ein gemütliches Hotel in zentraler Lage, das einen engagierten, einladenden Service in einem entspannten Ambiente bietet. Alteingesessenenes Hotel mit viel Charme. Das Zimmer war sehr großzügig und modern. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr lecker und mit großer Auswahl. Die Lage ist sehr zentral in Clifden, parken kann man tatsächlich in der gegenüberliegenden Tiefgarage des Supermarktes, wirkt irritierend, ist aber problemlos machbar und der Weg zum Hotel sehr kurz.

Auf der ruhigen und malerischen Insel Inishbofin bietet dieses Hotel Zimmer mit herrlicher Aussicht. Loved our stay here. Within walking distance of the ferry and with lovely views of the harbour it is a great value for money place to stay. Rooms were fine and contained all mod-cons. Staff were brilliant. Danielle was a great host behind the bar, very friendly and chatty. The other workers who were off-duty were socializing in the bar and invited us to join them and we had a great night. Lots of belly laughs into the night. They really made our stay so much better and we will definitely be back for a visit.
