Fantastic location 5 minutes from the main bus stop but very quiet. Michael was a great host (got us in touch with a fantastic taxi driver who took us to Omey Island and back for a reasonable price), the sitting room on the ground floor had tea and coffee and great selection of books and games. Breakfast was great! Truly the best experience as a base to explore Connemara. I have only superlatives to say.

We absolutely loved our stay! The place and the food were truly amazing - 10 out of 10. We’re already planning our next trip to the Leenane Hotel this summer. It’s also convenient to reach from Dublin without a car: take a train to Westport and then the 423 bus (be sure to check the bus schedule in advance; the bus stop is at Mill st). The rooms offer a stunning view of the fjord!

Set in beautiful gardens in the heart of Connemara, the romantic Abbeyglen Castle Hotel has tennis courts, a spa bath and stunning views of Clifden and the Twelve Bens mountains. The owners and staff have made the stay in this wonderful building a whole experience.

Buttermilk Lodge is 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, so you can just park your car and easily walk to town. Really nice accommodation, clean, fresh and varm welcome with refreshments as bread, coffee and milk etc. Really nice equipped for making our own meal morning and evening. Great location with just a 5 min walk to the centre of the city.

Everything was absolutely lovely from start to finish. The hotel was spotless and beautifully maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, very nice and really warm. Also thank you for the birthday surprise—it really made day extra special. The food was also fantastic—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every meal was a treat, and the cozy setting made dining even more enjoyable. Honestly, everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a charming and relaxing getaway in Roundstone, Co.Galway.

The Alcock and Brown hotel in Clifden is a central and cosy hotel offering a dedicated welcoming service in a relaxed atmosphere. Very relaxing hotel with a very nice bar in. Breakfast buffet is good. The room is confortable and the hotel location in Clifden is outstanding! Raccomanded.

Loved our stay here. Within walking distance of the ferry and with lovely views of the harbour it is a great value for money place to stay. Rooms were fine and contained all mod-cons. Staff were brilliant. Danielle was a great host behind the bar, very friendly and chatty. The other workers who were off-duty were socializing in the bar and invited us to join them and we had a great night. Lots of belly laughs into the night. They really made our stay so much better and we will definitely be back for a visit.
