A beautifully restored 18th Century coaching inn, Conyngham Arms Hotel in Slane village offers luxurious accommodation in Ireland’s County Meath. Room was very clean. Beds comfortable. Shower was nice and water was hot. The restaurant/bar attached was excellent. This was the last night of our 2 week Ireland trip and, by far, the best dinner we had anywhere. If you stay there, eat there.

We felt like we entered the house of Bilbo in Lord of the Rings. The loving and caring couple owning and running Killyon Guest House have decorated the whole place with beautiful antique funiture. The breakfast is outstanding, beautifully served on tables full of fresh fruit and flowers from the garden. The beds are so comfortable and we enjoyed the bird song outside our window.
