Built in an ancient Colonial-period Bungalow, The Elephant Stables is a beautiful property overlooking Kandy’s lush greenery. It welcomes guests with an outdoor swimming pool and cosy guestrooms. Best location i have stayed yet in Sri Lanka. This pearl has everything you need. The bed is great, the shower is gorgeous and the personel is the best i’ve seen yet. They will help you with literally anything you need and wil accomodate it for you. If something on the menu is not like your taste, they can change it to your own liking. They have a beautiful big tent on the outside of the hotel, which has a bathtub, AC and literally everything you need. There are no downsides i could mention. Like i have said…. The long area around the pool is great and drinks can be served directly to your sunbed. Food was good and perfect for some day time snacks. Staff were friendly and accommodating when needing to arrange transport, laundry etc.

Great view over the city. A big bonus for the swimming pool and great service. All in all a good place to stay. You need a TukTuk to get there, which they arrange free of charge :)

Nestled within Kandy’s lush green hills, Hotel See Kandy features an outdoor pool and offers comfortable rooms with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The hotel is located on a hill, at first we were a little worried, as we were in our own car. But we got there well. The view from the room is wonderful, the food is delicious. The room is clean and cozy. The staff is very nice, helpful, friendly. Thank you very much!

Located in the heart of Kandy City, Villa 49 is 1 km from the famous Temple of Tooth. Its restaurant serves local and Western dishes. Free Wi-Fi and parking are provided. It's a lovely place, cozy and stunning. We were pleasantly surprised upon arriving at this hotel - it's an old house with a charming colonial style. We wished we have extended our stay. Shenani is very kind and a superb cook! The breakfast is delicious, from egg hoppers to homemade jams.

Located amidst rolling green hills and the Madulkelle Tea Estate, this property offers tents with a terrace, a seating area, and en suite bathroom with hot/cold water. The location, staff, the room (or rather house), food, everything was amazing!

Located 820 m above sea level, Yasmin Hill Longevity Resort - Hotel Galavilla overlooks the hill country mountain range of Knuckles. Everything. It was the perfect escape for some much needed relaxation. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Special mention for Nana who took us on a tour of the organic garden where most (if not all) the restaurant food is grown on site. A wealth of knowledge from this man, explaining all the health benefits of each plant. The food was exquisite, so compliments to the chefs and kitchen. The dining experience was made by the manager Heradh, who was so enthusiastic and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed his warm nature. It was also our introduction to Ayurveda which made our entire Sri Lankan trip that much more enjoyable. There is an Ayurvedic doctor on site with whom you can meet with and she proscribes specific treatments tailored to your needs. Our therapists were also great, Mohamed and Tharanga both so warm, friendly and accommodating. This was one of our best stops on our Sri Lankan trip. Don’t rush this stay, we stayed 3 nights and we wish we had stayed longer.
