Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Teresa is a very welcoming person. We like our stay a lot. Bed is very comfortable. The room and facilities are very clean. Breakfast is just great and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Highly recommended.

Delicious breakfast, exceptional dinner and an infinite pool. For breakfast, you could choose from 5-6 warm meals (eggs, French toast, asparagus..) and a cold buffet (from cereals, croissants and local cheese to pastel de nata). The portions from the menu were smaller but in combination with the cold buffet, the breakfast was just awesome! We stayed in the with the "garden view ", however we could still see and hear the sea. The view was stunning.

Recently awarded as Europe's Leading Design Hotel, the luxurious Vine Hotel is located in Funchal and offers a fusion restaurant with stunning views, a Wine Therapy Spa, and a rooftop infinity pool. The design of the hotel is fantastic! The rooms are beautiful and clean, thanks to housekeeping twice a day! Thanks for the little attention on our pillows ;) Charles and his bold collegue (don’t know his name, sorry) at the reception are doing an amazing job. And last but not least Jorge, responsable for breakfast, runs from left to right to make sure everybody is happy and presentation of the food is up to standard. He was very helpfull to us and our baby! Congrats to the entire The Vine staff.

Ubicato a Funchal, a 500 metri dal porto turistico, il Castanheiro Boutique Hotel offre una piscina e una vasca idromassaggio all'aperto disponibili tutti l'anno, un centro benessere, un ristorante e... Excellent service from the moment you enter the hotel. All staff extremely friendly. Nice rooftop pool and bar/lounge. Rooms have everything you need. Left before breakfast but got a breakfast box that had more food than I could eat. Free spa admission with a steam room and Turkish bath complimentary. Nice restaurant and ambiance throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.

With 400 meters of private sea front, the 5-star property offers spacious rooms all with balcony and views of the Atlantic and the Deserted Islands. Beautiful property in a great location for hiking to Pico Ruivo and Pico Areeiro. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They made us feel very special. The Hibiscus Restaurant had wonderful food and Fabrício was great!

Fantastic placement with beautiful view towards the agitated sea from balcony. Lovely dinner and terrific breakfast. Spacious room.

Palazzo restaurato di Madeira situato a 900 metri dal centro storico di Funchal, l'ARTS IN Hotel Conde Carvalhal offre giardini botanici e terrazze con viste pittoresche sul mare, sulla città e sulle... L’hotel è situato in una zona molto vicina al centro ma è molto tranquilla. L’hotel dispone di un bellissimo giardino e il personale è molto gentile e disponibile.

Set within tropical gardens on Madeira Island, this charming guesthouse features far-reaching sea views and 2 outdoor seawater pools and access to the sea. We enjoyed the facilities on sight (pools, restaurant, bar, game room, sitting areas), the views, the books, helpful and nice staff, gardens, music performances, and the vibe of all the travelers.

The location is breathtaking, and all the shared facilities are the best: the pull, the Jacuzzies, all the sitting spots, it seems that every inch in this place got attention in design. The rooms are big and comfy. We stayed in a room with a direct spot to the sunset and it was beautiful. The breakfast is very good, but above all the host is the nicest man. He take care for everythink that we asked and gave us his number in the days he weren’t there to tell him if something is wrong. This was the perfect place!
