A little paradise nestled between the entrance of the park and the start of the hike to La Piscina and Cabo San Juan.
This place is perfect if like me, you just land at Santa Marta after a long flight or if you arrive a bit late in the park and don’t want to rush into the start of the hike.
The tents are comfortable and right in front of the beach (forbidden to swim in) with an amazing sunset.
All facilities are clean and pretty good.
The pool is nice for relaxing.
And last but not least, the staff are super nice!
Offering an open-air bath and river view, La Cima Tayrona is set in Santa Marta, 24 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino and 27 km from Santa Marta Gold Museum.

Nice, quite place right in the middle of Parque Tayrona away from the touristic area. Basic (tent) but all you need, with fire place and only bird/animal sounds at night. Friendly owner (speaks English too)

Basically, this is for those who like a wild and primitive experience, feeling like you live in the "jungle" for a night or two. Lovely hostess and such a beautiful spot with natural pool.
Providing mountain views, Wachakyta Ecolodge in Calabazo provides accommodation, a garden, a private beach area, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Free WiFi is provided.

It’s hard not to oversell this place as it’s so fantastic. If you want to pretend you’re Robinson Crusoe, stranded on one of the most beautiful beaches in Tayrona, this is the place.
I picked this place because I wanted a swimmable beach inside the park. I didn’t want to have to walk to Cabo San Juan, which I’d heard is full of backpackers taking selfies. I wanted to step out of my room and into the sea. And that’s what I got here. Every morning I got a coffee from the bar (always a full urn freshly brewed) and enjoyed it on some driftwood on the beach, before taking a dip. Usually Tinto, the resident doggy, would sit with me watch the waves.
Things to do: relax in the beach, relax on a swing on the beach, relax in one of the daybeds on the beach, relax with a cocktail on some cushions on the beach, relax in your room. Read, swim, sunbathe, watch the birds, play with the cats.
This place isn’t a Maldives resort where they remove bugs from the sand using tweezers and a haute cuisine dinner is served every night. Amongst the makeshift luxury, it’s still basic. (However, the food is hearty and plentiful.) And that’s what makes it so unique. You’re really in nature. There’s lizards and crabs crawling about everywhere (the bugs are there too but they’re not nearly as bad as some of the reviews suggest). Every so often a great wave of insect or lizard song (I could never work out what it was) drowns out the sound of the waves lapping on the shore, and then dies down 10 seconds later. Take a kayak out into the bay. The water is calm and it’s an easy little paddle. Then just sit there and watch the birds, take in the view of the jungle towering over the beach, or enjoy the show the sunset puts on every night. If you’re really lucky you’ll get a thunderstorm as you climb into bed.
And the staff are just lovely. A real gang of castaways keeping the place in running order.
Located in El Coquito, Happy Camping Arrecifes dentro del Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona is a recently renovated accommodation, 400 metres from Playa Arrecifes and 38 km from Quinta de San Pedro...

Great location, tent was nice and tall could stand up in it
Glamping (glamorous + camping) sites are where you can camp with modern and luxurious facilities. If you are looking for a getaway in nature but don’t want to give up your luxuries, this is ideal for you.
Great location, very helpful staff. The individual rooms/pods and very nice. It is possible to use the facilities of the hostel next door (restaurant, swimming pool etc). There is a fan in the room to keep cool at night.
Great location right at the beach. Nice room, very comfortable. Right at a camping spot where you can purchase a good breakfast (not expensive) and coffee for free.
It is luxury but at the same time it still gives you the feeling of camping. The outdoor showers are great, it’s is right at the beach. The breakfast is great and they have a bar/restaurant right at the beach with an amazing chef. All the staff is super friendly. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the little paradise there.
Loved everything about this place. Huge comfy bed, loads of space, everything was beautiful and the food was amazing. Private beach entrance and sunsets were incredible too
This hotel with a very nice Caribbean style seems to have one of the best location on the Tayrona Park beach, because it is less crowded than in other places. Private beach in the shade, nice swimming pool, restaurant, all is aligned for a perfect stay, in air-conditioned rooms with balcony.
Definitely a different kind of accomodation. The glamping tents are really comfortable and the toilet and showers were a very interesting experience. Location is great, employees very friendly and kind, especialy Milena.
Beautiful rooms and openair showers, beautiful restaurant and in general the whole hotel area is beautiful fully integrated with nature. It's fantastic to wake up early in the morning with the sounds of different birds and other animals. Even during the night, some mammals might visit the surroundings of your cabin which is really funny too. The therapies and massages are also recommended. The staff are all amazing and very helpful.
This was our favourite hostel in Colombia. Absolutely beautiful tents and camping areas - each tent with an individual outdoor bathroom, very spacious and individual outside chilling area. The beach is so beautiful and the staff were so friendly. I cannot recommend this hostel enough!
Very easy to do a daytrip into Tayrona and perfect place to just relax and chill.
