And it was. The apartment looks out on the canal and is in a well-appointed block, quiet and respectful. A lot of attention is paid to details in the room. You don't have all the facilities of a hotel but this is much cheaper than a hotel so it's a perfect place for a cheap short stay close to the center. Room / apartment has AC and is quiet. There are other single rooms in the apartment but most other guests seemed to be longer term but you can still use the kitchen there's just not much space in the fridge etc. The kettle and cup in the room was a nice touch too for tea / coffee in the morning. And each time, something new to discover. This go round, we enjoyed the arcade. We also roamed the zoo three times within a 20-hour span. Waking up and seeing the animals bright and early is lovely. The surrounding area is also quaint and quiet. The supermarket next door is cheap and enjoyable to roam through. And as always, the room service and restaurant are well pried and yummy.
