For anyone visiting Gosau, you couldn't ask for a better location, especially if you're keen on hiking around Gosausee. The breakfast spread was truly delicious, and every member of the staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming. Our room was perfectly clean and perfectly sufficient for our needs. We were also very impressed with the restaurant's extensive menu, which led us to happily dine there every evening.

We opened the door to the verandah and said "aah!" We sat out there at the beginning and end of each day. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was spacious. Added bonus - it is across the road from the little rural train station, we were able to catch trains at short notice, drop into Hallstatt without paying top tourist prices. And there was an extremely good restaurant nearby, by the river.
