A motorcycle friendly guesthouse with secure parking in a courtyard with an electric gate for motorcycles and separate from the main guest carpark. The guesthouse has it's own museum, depicting what life was like in Eastern Germany after WW2 and pre Unification with West Germany as the owner was born in Colditz Castle when it was a hospital for the town. Lots of photos showing the renovation of the guesthouse from farm buildings. My room was clean and bright and had it's own on suite bathroom. The accommodation block has a lift. A large selection of food for breakfast. As the guesthouse is on a hill. It is possible to walk into Colditz but is a steep incline back up the hill. Take note that with the exception of the Italian restaurant opposite Lidl which closes at 22:00. The other restaurants close at 20:00. If you are visiting Colditz and partaking in a tour of Colditz Castle. This guesthouse is an added bonus.

A simple, yet very cozy stay in the historic city of Leisnig. You just call the owner when you get there, get the keys, and then you are greeted with a simple, straight forward and clean room. The owner spoke English, which was of great help for understanding her instructions. The apartments are from a walkable distance to the castle of Leisnig. For the price, it’s a steal!
