Very close to the national park, you will receive a guest card with which you can travel for free with the public transport. Breakfast was simple but good. The staff was very nice. In the room there is everything you need - the water kettle, even a tea and you can also use the microwave and fridge located in a shared space.

Perfect location for hiking the Schluchtensteig trail, as stages 5 and 6 start and end right outside the door. The host wasn't on site when we checked in but was very responsive when we called to check in, and when we messaged about the second linen set missing. The room was really spacious with a nice terrace that allowed us to dry our wet hiking clothes. It's an easy walk to restaurants and supermarkets. Breakfast was plentiful with many options. Also the beds were so comfortable - all 4 of us said it was the best sleep of our weeklong hike!

This hotel is located in Hinterzarten, just 820 feet from the train station.

It was pretty quite. The Host, Michael and Alexandra were super ( kids )friendly,nice and made us feel comfortable.
