United KingdomVilla Strand is an exceptional place to stay. It is separate to the Hotel Hornbaekhus, where we had breakfast and evening meal. The hotel and rooms are decorated and furnished in a tasteful Nordic style. There is a lovely balcony with views over the dunes to the sea. There is direct access on to the lovely sandy beach, and it's just a few minutes from the lively village centre. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Strand if you enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings.

The room also had a comfy sofa and armchairs which was great. The location was central but really quiet with only the sound of the birds singing! We ate at several of her recommended restaurants which were all excellent. We had breakfast for two of the days we were there and it was home baked rolls and home baked strudel with fruit and yoghurt - again excellent. The garden and patio were a bonus - if you are looking for a place to relax then this is perfect. The rooms and the shared areas are all very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was amazing...no hot meals, but a nice variety of fruits, cheese, and other options, plus delicious home-made rolls and croissants.
