CanadaThe mango guest house is really a little oasis on Elephantine Island. Mohammed was amazing to us and he allowed us to meet Ahmed who took us on his feluka. That was the highlight of this travel to Egypt. The hotel itself is calm, super clean, with a comfortable room. You have to take a boat to join the hotel but it passes often and only costs 10EGP per person.

The guest house is located on the quiet and picturesque elephantine island, a short and cheap ferry away from Aswan city, with great restaurants and people all around. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and breakfasts were delicious each day.

SwitzerlandEverything was perfect, the location just a minute away the public ferry, the incredible terrace with breathtaking view over the Nile, spotless clean big room, etc. There was even a sandstorm the night before and when we arrived you couldn't see a grain of sand. Best of all is Mohammed, the owner, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had all we need. He arrange for someone to come and pick up my heavy suitcase as I was traveling alone with children, organized a really nice captain to visit the Nubian village, etc. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Niceley placed on the water, small island where you can literally walk anywhere, and a mere 1 minute walk from the ferry dock.
