Feel at home in Canet-en-Roussillon – find your kind of guest house

I love this place! There is absolutely nothing to complain about! It's a converted residence with one ground floor room and 3 more up a winding staircase. It's a perfect combination of private room and hostel-style interaction with other guests. Owner, Pascal, single-handedly does all the work, keeping the place very clean and tidy. He speaks adequate English. At 25€ (single, mid-May, no breakfast), it's an outstanding value, too. I enjoyed it so much I stayed 3 nights. When there was no availability on the 2nd night, Pascal gave me his room.The four rooms share two bathrooms, half and three-quarter. There is a full shared kitchen/lounge, including an oven and cooking equipment, suitable for preparing full meals. Wi-fi is excellent. There is a constant supply of coffee and tea, a generous set of herbs and spices, ice cubes, and garden lemons. The description says towels and linens cost extra. This is true for towels but linens are included. The rear surroundings are lushly green and the residential street is very quiet. There is a small balcony for smoking or sitting and the large front yard has tables and chairs. There is ample, free street parking. Shopping and the beach are a long walk away, but there is good bus service. Guests should be aware that the rooms do not have external locks so they're accessible when not occupied but I had absolutely no sense of theft danger. If you. like me, don't like standard hotels, this place is for you!

Quaint and old (200 years) in old part of town. Mini fridge in room. Host very friendly with good English. Wi fi. 2nd floor terrace semi-dedicated to my particular room.

The property is lovely, such a pretty and peaceful setting surrounded by flowers, trees and the winery owned by the hotel owner. His wine is available at the hotel and is very good. We also visited his restaurant, La Table de Thomas, which we thoroughly enjoyed with its beautiful setting and excellent food. We were able to drive easily to the ocean and had a lovely day there. We also spent some time at the hotel’s pool and on its terrace. There are only 5 rooms so it’s more like a guest house and you are never overwhelmed by people or noise. The breakfast was very nice and a lovely way to begin the day. And I loved that you may leave items in the refrigerator and make coffee and tea whenever you’d like.

The only thing that exceeded the beauty of this BnB was the graciousness of its host. It was highly recommended by friends of ours who had previously stayed there and we would highly recommend it to anyone else.
