This was our first stop in France after arriving in Paris, taking the train to Avignon, and renting a car. We booked La Chaumière at the last minute after our travel plans changed and we needed a place to stay for one night near the Luberon region. What a welcome oasis for two tired travelers! Our hosts, Francine and Bruno, could not have been lovelier. After getting settled in our room, with a breathtaking view out over the Durance river, and cleaning up, we enjoyed a glass of rosé on the patio. Francine provided us numerous tips on places and restaurants to try in the area. For dinner that night, they pointed us just down the block to an amazing Vietnamese restaurant. Vietnamese on our first night in France? Yes! It was sooo good. After a good night's sleep, we enjoyed a buffet breakfast on the patio with various breads, cheese, yogurt, and jam. We departed that morning for the rest of our trip, but we felt lucky to have found such a comfortable, friendly, and beautiful place to stay for our first night.

The property is beautiful with greenery and flowers everywhere. There is a lovely pool with comfortable lounge chairs. The apartment is equally beautiful with a lovely decor and a private outdoor space. The location is perfect and very serene. You hear birds instead of cars. It is a short , very safe walk to town.

We had an amazing stay here! It was a beautiful building and the pool was lovely. The folks who manage the property are so lovely and helpful. They made a fantastic dinner reservation for us and it was the highlight of my trip!
