The hotel is located in the ancient village Chackhari, a stone's throw away from Vardzia cave-town. It is a quiet and a beautiful place nestled under the cliffs surrounding Vardzia. The hotel is run by the lovely couple, who are very warm, friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless clean. The breakfast and dinner that cost extra were delicious. The bed was comfy. Highly recommended. It is a peaceful place where you can unwind after full days of adventures.

Lovely hosts, they offer a really personal welcome. The rooms are very newly built and smart and modern without being fussy and overly fancy. The balcony is huge and offers a wonderful view of the valley.

Amazing place right next to Vardzia cluster. Simple room for 3. Owner very pleasant. Unfortunately, the service for cooking breakfast and dinner did not come, so he could not provide it. We had an excellent dinner in a nearby restaurant, we had breakfast on the way.... the accommodation had its charm and the owner was a very pleasant gentleman.

The location is really a nice one. Because the garden the accommodation has a very homey feeling. The homemade breakfast was an excellent one.

We had an incredible stay at in Koba's home. Everybody made us feel very welcome. Natalie's cooking (breakfast and dinner) was delicious, with all ingredients being home grown. We were also served regional specialties which would be difficult to find elsewhere. Koba treated us to some of homemade wine and spirit, both of which were very tasty. We even got some interesting insights into the Georgian rural life as Koba let us try using his scythe to cut grass for hay. As for the place itself, their home was spotlessly clean. The gardens are beautiful and extremely peaceful. The view from the balcony was amazing. Everything you might need is available, and the family are more than happy to help.

We had a wonderful stay at Guest House Alexander, and enjoyed meeting him and his family. We stayed 1 night en route to Vardzia and it was the perfect location moments from it, in a tranquil garden, full of flowers and fruit trees which Alexander kept picking for us to eat. The ensuite bedrooms were spacious and clean, the beds incredibly comfortable, pillows and duvets fluffy and warm, and bed linen crisp - all enabling perfect sleep. We arrived in the evening and Alexander's wife prepared a delicious dinner with many dishes using ingredients sourced locally and from their garden. Alexander is a great host with good English and we had a convivial dinner together and interesting conversation over the great food, and the wine and chacha which he makes. Lovely people and lovely stay, highly recommended.

A lovely place to stay near Vardzia. We ordered dinner (30 GEL per person), and it was well worth it in my opinion. The homemade wine was delicious—as it so often is in Sakartvelo. There's also a nearby sulfur pool. Both hosts were very friendly and welcoming. You can chill outside in the garden. I wouldn't mind to come back again. I believe the overal rating is far better than number on booking.
