Super friendly host and a lovely place to stay! We got stuck in traffic due to no trains and arrived late at night and they were so flexible and friendly helping us with late check-in (good with communication via whatsapp).
The room was very clean and felt newly renovated (much nicer than many other hotels we stayed at in Italy) we even got some cute gifts and it was possible to make cappuccinos in the room. There is even a basket with towels to borrow for swimming, which was nice as we forgot to bring both towels and a beach bag. The AC was great!
We are super pleased with the room and how centre the hotell was situated in Manarola - close to everything! It's good to know that you need to climb a few (steep) stairs to reach the rooms, which is the theme of the Cinque Terre cities (just saying). ;)
The host also treated us with discount in their own shop, as well as a local gelateria and for the treaking pass at Cinque Terre.
I can highly recommend L'Emporio to anyone who wants a romantic and joyful stay in Manarola. We really felt welcomed and are so pleased with our stay!
PS. there is a glutenfree creperia and another glutenfree shop a few metres away from the hotel! <3

It was super clean and the host was so attentive and friendly. She also supplied proper tea and some milk which we have not had since touring round Italy. It was such a treat to find that after our travels. Brits will know how important this is :)

We loved our stay here, the property had a great sea view and was very very clean. The toiletries were great and well stocked as was a little coffee station. Staff were friendly and provided detailed check in instructions.
The fact the room also had Netflix was great for the evening.

The room was clean and fresh with great light from the windows and a wonderful view over Manarola. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was compact, but well laid out. There was a small fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine and a few basic kitchen dishes, which was all we needed. The host was great with communication and planned to meet us on arrival, but as our main train was delayed over two hours, our arrival was then much later than we had planned.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Though 'very basic' as the host told me, the flat was perfect for a weeks stay for me.
It is charming, practical and very well functioning, located in a quiet area of Manarola away from the crowds.
Within a few minutes walk you find a great variety af bars, restaurants and two grocery stores. I will definitely stay in Il Bordone if I come to Cinque Terre again.
Thanks for a wonderful stay, Giovanni 😊👍
A modern little hotel with wonderful owners. Alfredo and Jessica were extremely welcoming and great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They have great advise about the area; when ,where and how to visit places. ( superb English too). The room was modern , comfortable and spotless with a view right onto the street. (Though peaceful at night) A great location to visit the other towns by trek or train. Breakfast was delicious with a great range of products , freshly cooked as you arrived.
Great location, comfy bed, newly redecorated room with new bathroom in local typical charming style, good noise isolation despite being in the busy area 1min away from the sea
Super friendly host
Great location, spacious and clean apartment. Comfortable bed and a nice view over Cinque Terre. On the doorstep of a nice little piazza with views over the water and the train station. Is very close to the train station but you need to climb a few hills. Great hosts who were accommodating and kind.
