Located in a rejuvenated Ryokan built a hundred years ago, you’ll get to enjoy the old good Japanese style accommodation soaked in the beautiful wood scent with the minimum cost. Usami seems to be a quieter area than Ito or Shimoda, so nice for families to rest up before heading on to other adventures around the Izu peninsula. The facilities exceeded our expectations: very clean kitchenette and laundry area. Very useful to have drying and hanging racks for inside and outside. Tatami futons were very comfortable to sleep on. Room had a nice view over Usami and the sea.
