Mako was a great host, and her house is a really special place. It is a hidden gem you would not expect to find next to the local road crossroad. The house is several hundred years old, equipped in traditional style. It has a beautiful garden in Japanese style. The location is perfect for exploring the Fuji area, which is around 30 mins drive.

The peaceful serenity. Beautiful atmosphere. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see mt Fuji due to rain we made a day visiting Hakone which was beautiful none the less.

Wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They waited up for us when we arrived late and took the time to explain everything in detail. They even rented us e-bikes to explore and kindly drove us to the bus station. We had an amazing time and highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and hospitality. The best place to stay in Japan! Amazing old house with amazing host surrounded by beautiful garden. Place where you can feel the spirit of Japan, japaneese culture and hospitality. The only thing that we regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Go there and enjoy, you won’t be disapointed! :)
