Stayed here on the first day of the Kumano. Interesting check-in process as I think it was AI. Great amount of food for both dinner and breakfast with beers. Supermarket across the road if needed and the bus stop for the Kumano 500m away. Bonus being a fully self contained accomodation with a roof top terrace.

We arrived at the guest house after walking our first day in the Kumano Kodo. We had delicious meals! One of the highlights was the Okonomiyaki! Everything was prepared with love. The host is very kind and speaks English, so we could have a very nice conversation. This was in a great location with wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the communal meals immensely and had the best packed lunch of our trip. The meals were home cooked with local ingredients. The host explained the origins of all the dishes and went out of his way to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This guest house is newly renovated with very good facilities for bathing, a communal kitchen, a dining area and new beds and bedding.

Great location across from train/bus station. Quiet, I think because it was a holiday, few people in the hostel, and downstairs bar was closed. Comfortable bed. Clean. Juan checked us in, very friendly, but no staff around after 4pm.

Really nice place to stay, inside of an old house that serves as a coffee shop during daytimes. Miyumi is a great host and speaks English, so we chatted a bit about our Kumano Kodo trail and she gave us some tips. For breakfast she made us some delicious sponge cake to bring with us on our hike! It's a very quiet area and in walking distance from the station, so very convenient all around.
