Bed was very comfortable, so were pillows - and pillows can be really personal - but there were 2 quite different pillow types to choose from . A small indication of the amount of thought put into to the setup of the space. The shower was awesomely good!

I extended my stay to 3 nights, when Ngarie popped in to collect payment. Loved how the Chalet is tucked away in the most perfect place.(the rock path is tricky-sensible shoes a must...says she who wore heels) I sat for hours listening to the theraputic rhythm of water, dancing down a stoney bed of rocks n boulders. I requested some wood (managed to stretch it over 2 nights, bonus!!!) for the brazier. It was magical to sit & hear both the brook babbling along & the fire crackling. I fully recommend Chalet Karaka. pg♡2025

Lovely place for a short or longer stay in Collingwood, right in the town centre. The room is in the back part of a private residence, so the host is always in reach and happy to help; but it has its own access (shared with a separate room). The Sunrise Suite was quiet, spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed during our two-night stay. The windows open onto a private deck that gets all the morning sun, so the name of the room is definitely appropriate! We would (and are already considering) coming back.

Blue moon is set in Collingwood. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Outdoor seating is also available at the guest house.

I was actually upgraded to the Sunrise Suite when I arrived, This is the room next door. It was bigger, had a garden view - hence seeing the beautiful sunrise. Good hot shower, (with shower dome roof). Kettle, tea, coffee (cafetiere) fridge with milk & cream; much appreciated, microwave. TV & wifi. Very comfy bed. There is a separate kitchen area outside the room - shared with Blue Moon room.
