They not only helped us plan our trip but also arranged a once-in-a-lifetime desert excursion with trusted local partners. It’s the perfect blend of luxury and authenticity, making it a one-stop shop for discovering Tunisia. The food was exceptional—fresh, organic, and rivaling even the finest hotels. And the house? It’s a work of art! The interior design is breathtaking, reminiscent of a Grand Palace. We spent hours just soaking in the history, style, and craftsmanship. Located away from the tourist crowds but still convenient for exploring, it’s close to a serene beach, offering the perfect balance of peace and adventure. From the moment we arrived at La Demeure, we were welcomed with warmth, genuine smiles, and a sense of ease that instantly made us feel at home. This boutique hotel is a true hidden gem — elegant yet cosy, with an atmosphere that blends luxury and heartfelt hospitality. A special thank you to Jaber & Rawan, whose kindness, attention to detail, and effortless charm made our stay truly exceptional. Thier care, along with the efforts of the entire team, created a seamless and personalized experience. Everyone went out of their way to ensure we felt like part of the La Demeure family. The suites were nothing short of incredible — beautifully designed, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail, from the linens to the lighting, exuded calm and style. The poolside views of the ocean were absolutely breathtaking — the perfect backdrop for relaxation, sunrise coffees, or evening cocktails. It’s the kind of place that makes you pause, breathe, and truly soak in the moment. And let’s not forget the menu — every meal was a highlight, crafted with care and creativity. Compliments to the brilliant chef whose dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return. The location is incredible, the staff are wonderful and lots of small touches are done to really make you feel at home.

The entire place was exceptional, from the staff, common area, pool, customer service and the best part was the room and view. The really nice photos you see on here, are literally what it looks like in real life. Some days I didn’t even want to leave my accomodation because of how nice it was. Breakfast was really nice too, the guest house owner is so so sweet and pays a lot of attention and loves to feed you!

Beautiful decor, lovely owner. Everything we needed

Definitely beautiful house, spread over 3 levels (kitchen level -1, entrance and living rooms level 0, bed rooms level 1) plus panoramic terrace. Rooms: one is very spacious with balcony, the other is small and less confortable, both with en-suite bathroom providing good privacy if travelling in a group. Air conditioning and wifi. Host super welcoming and helpful, waited for us despite the flight delay and the late check-in. Perfect location for visiting Sidi Bou Said and la Marsa walking, by car in 20/30 minutes you can also easily reach the centre of Tunis.

Dar Kbira is a serene and stunning escape from the bustling streets of Sidi Bou Saïd. The property has been renovated to a high and beautiful standard by Selima & her husband. The breakfast in particular was delicious, varied each day we stayed and could be enjoyed in the central courtyard or on the sunny terrace. The service was exemplary and the bed was extremely comfortable. We would love to come back :)
