All the tree in the property have a use, medicinal or not, and they are happy to show you what is what and those you can put in your maté.

The grounds are both convenient to the main road and feel very secluded—just above the town of Tafí. The lake view rooms have lovely balconies overlooking the grounds and view. I could have sat on that porch all day. Lovely breakfast, kind host, and it felt a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I would happily stay there again!

Hostería Atahualpa Yupanqui er staðsett í Tafí Viejo, 19 km frá CIIDEPT og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, verönd og veitingastað. This is a fairly new place opened in 2017 and is actually owned by the local municipality. It therefore caters for school groups and parts of the community. This is fine although when we arrived the place was filled with boorish looking teenagers and young kids attending some party. It's located at the edge of the town and there is plenty of space to go for a walk or swim in the pool once it gets warmer. Breakfast was good, it has all the essential stuff and there was fresh bread. The quadruple room was ample and the four single beds comfortable. The place is good value for money. It's an unusual location and gives a feeling of being in the countryside. There is a restaurant in the hotel and which actually is the best pace to eat in town although dinner only starts at 21:00.
