During our 3-nights stay we have felt like home thanks to the owners who are perfect in hosting with a very welcoming and helpful attitude. The place is nicely decorated with many plants and comfortable places to hangout. The room and bathroom are clean and fully functional. Also the breakfast is great with changing fruits, juices, marmalade and cake every day. The city center is only a short walk away.

Casa Saimiri, a property with a garden, is located in Alter do Chao, 36 km from Santarem's Harbor, 36 km from Nossa Senhora da Conceição Diocesan Cathedral, as well as 37 km from João Fona's Museum. Definitely the best option of Alter. Room was extremely comfortable and clean. Good location, and people were super nice, both the owners and the breakfast staff including Baltazar. They shared tips and a little bit of the history of Alter's community, and they're very helpful when needed. A special thanks to the breakfast Chef who provided an outstanding experience.

Set in Alter do Chao, 600 metres from Alter do Chao Beach and 36 km from Santarem's Harbor, Donaldo Apartamentos offers free WiFi and air conditioning. it was excellent. immaculately tidy, comfortable, a few blocks from the beach and the staff was amazingly efficient. and right across the street to a bus stop for santarem. unusually good. on Saturday night the bar a block down hosted a pretty good jazz concert.
