We found Port Hood to be quiet and the perfect stay after our drive along the Cabot Trail. We loved our room, it was extremely clean and had all the charm that a B&B should. The breakfast was fantastic too, and we enjoyed the ambiance of the dining room in the morning.

Beautiful stay on the East Side of the Cabot Trail in Indian Brook in Cape Breton at the very end of September. We were in the Loft Studio - it had been recently renovated with pine walls and floor - clean and lovely - lots of amenities, with a small kitchen area/sink. We were there only one night but would recommend 2 nights just to relax and explore the area. We went to a Caleigh in Baddeck in the evening (it was amazing!) and left the next morning to hike a bit on the Cabot Trail and continue over to the West side, stopping first for breakfast at the Clucking Hen Bakery and Cafe on the way (yummy breakfast and we bought pastries for on the road), just a minute or two from Rumi House. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets, and it was quiet, with only a car once in a while on the nearby road, which was cushioned by trees. Owner was quick to respond to messages and answered all of our questions before we arrived.
