Offering views of the Sierra, Mundo Nuevo Eco Lodge ( 2.2 km and 400 meters uphill Minca) is set in an organic farm with a vegetarian restaurant (one menu) with mainly dishes with fruits and vegetable... This place is a gem! From Minca, it takes about 20 min by 4*4 to get there. It's a rough ride but totally worth it! We arrived early in the morning and we got to explore the area and enjoy the facilities. They have a great activities to offer or you can just sit and relax in the pool. The surroundings are astonishing, Sierra Nevada at its best! There is an indigenous village 5min from there too. The staff is amazing, speeks perfect English, witch is rare in the area and can accommodate you with everything, from dinner plans to activities, call a motor bike for you etc.. The rooms are not too large but it's really ok because we wanted to stay outside for as long as possible. The sunset over the mountains is amazing! I cannot recommend enough Mundo Nuevo and definitely will come back someday!

Located in the centre of Santa Marta, 600 metres from Bahía de Santa Marta Beach, Hostel paradise St provides air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. What a great place! Ideal location- step out the door into the pedestrian zone. I stayed in a large, private room with 2 King beds, with bathroom and A/C. Bed very comfy. Very clean! A large bathroom sink; I appreciated having a fridge...all the coffee I could drink, and hot water for tea (at the reception). The room was very quiet overall - I did not need earplugs! (there will always be a certain level of noise anywhere you stay in Latin/South America in my experience). The receptionist was always "a pendiente". Highly recommend!

400 metres from Salguero Beach, Hostal Magdalena is set in Santa Marta and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property was new and nicely decorated. The outdoor patio/bar was really nice. The hosts, Pilar and Jorge treated us like family and it was a very nice environment to relax. The beach was very close and so were some restaurants and grocery stores. Large, comfy bed in the room with air conditioning, as well as a balcony.

Situated in Santa Marta, 2.7 km from Castilletes Beach, ECOCABAÑAS DIOSA JAGUAR tayrona features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a bar. Everything was amazing! Ramon was such a reliant and helpful host and even took us to the top of the place to look at mountains. The location was perfect, about a 15 minute walk to the entrance of PNT and a very local part of town. Also it’s beautiful there with lots of birds and pets as well. Breakfast included was appreciated! Would definitely stay again to hang out with Lola the parrot!

Offering a garden and mountain view, Casa Feliz Hostal is situated in Santa Marta, 1.4 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino and 4.6 km from Santa Marta Gold Museum. We were welcomed warmly by the family and their dog. The room was cozy with airconditioning and a comfortable bed. Lovely house, great breakfast, and wonderful people

Rivera Hostel is located in the El Rodadero district of Santa Marta, 3.9 km from Rodadero Sea Aquarium and Museum, 6.9 km from Santa Marta Cathedral and 7 km from Santa Marta Marina. Very cheap, lovely people who run it! Very helpful

Set just a few steps from Taganga Beach, White Taganga Beach features accommodation in Taganga with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as luggage storage space. Great location right at the beach. Very friendly staff and super clean. Great value for money.

Casa chill out, a property with a garden, is situated in Minca, 21 km from Santa Marta Gold Museum, 21 km from Santa Marta Cathedral, as well as 21 km from Simon Bolivar Park. Rosario is so sweet and welcoming, so are the two cats:) we felt comfortable and we we’re close to everything. We had a really good stay!
