Built in 1857, this guest house started life as a Royal Bank of Scotland building. This guest house was lovely. The room is large and has two very comfortable chairs. This is the best bed we have slept in over the course of this 3 week vacation. It is quiet, and I slept like a contented baby! The town of Hawick is very charming, also.

I Ashkirk, bare 22 kilometer fra Melrose Abbey og 33 kilometer fra Traquair House ligger Auld Skuil. Lovely quirky traditional building. Very clean. Lots of homely touches. Kids loved the book with lots of info about the history of the property and the town.
