You feel like at home with Brian and his family/friends. Lot of kindness and helpfull. You can ask him what you need. He organized our trek in the jungle with Rosyid. It was a great experience with him. We enjoyed our trek, Rosyid explained us everything he could. The evening we laughed a lot. Our stay was just amazing. Great guys ! Thank you for everything

Situated in Padang and only 1.1 km from Air Manis Beach, The view padang, Amazing view, 8 mins Mentawai fast ferry, cold beer, close to restaurants features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and... Excellent guest house, I highly recommend the view for your stay in Padang or Mentawai. Robert (British) picked me up from the airport for 250,000 idr. The guest house is located a few minutes from the town centre and the Mentawai ferry port. It is on the hill side, 100m above the beach with an incredible view of the ocean. The sunsets are magnificent. Unlike the city centre, the place is very quiet so you can sleep very well. The rooms are very clean and bright and the largest room upstairs has a balcony with a breathtaking view. One room has its own bathroom and the shared bathroom is spacious, clean and has a real shower with hot water. I was supposed to stay for 2 days, I went back for another 10 days. You can rent a scooter at the guest house or ask Robert to take you somewhere (leaving a tip is always good). You can use the washing machine for free. Coffee, tea and hot and cold water are free as well . You can eat on the premises or in the restaurants on the street. There is a choice of breakfast (Indonesian or continental). Robert and his wife are very welcoming and accommodating and does his best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. So after having stayed in several hotels in Padang, I will only come back here.

Everything was so well managed and the staff was so kind and helpful. Rivaldi and Herwin did everything to make our visit as good as it gets.

JUNGLE LIFE GUEST HOUSE - Trekking & Transport Only Book With Us is set in Bukit Lawang and has a pool with a view and river views. Alek the owner is an amazing host, he really takes care of you. The jungle 2 day jungle trek he arranged was amazing too. The accommodation in right in the middle of the town and close to everything. The rooms are good and the bed is super comfy. All in all, I had an amazing stay here.

With mountain views, Sumatra Orangutan Discovery Villa is situated in Bukit Lawang and has a restaurant, full-day security, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area. - Les habitacions tenen mosquiteres a les finestres i al llit, que realment van molt bé. - L’esmorzar estava molt bo i la noia que el preparava i servia va ser molt simpàtica, tot i que el vem trobar bastant car comparat amb la resta dels esmorzars que hem estat fent (tenen menús d’esmorzar per 80.000 i si demanes per carta la mitjana dels plats valen 40-50.000).

Set in Bukit Lawang, Sahnan Guest House has a garden, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. A tour desk can provide information on the area. There was nothing not to love here. The property was clean and well-located, the staff went above and beyond for us by helping us organize rides and activities, the bed was quite comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was tasty and cheap. With the river running by so close, it felt like we were staying at an alpine lodge! The family running the guest house is extremely kind. We couldn’t recommend this place enough. Make sure to bring cash with you, though. As of writing this it’s a cash-only town with the nearest ATM about 7km away.
