It is a pretty yellow with a bright red door, and red sign, which helped identify it when coming home. The inside offered a sitting room with a television and an adequate dining area for guests. Upstairs the rooms were big and clean, and the beds were comfortable. A highlight of the house was that it had a television that offered far more channels than any other site we stayed. It was nice to find movies and sit-coms easily and even CNN. It was close to activities and restaurants. It was very quiet, and we only saw the host when she gave us our keys. Breakfast was good and offered both warm and cold selections. They were the only restaurant that we went to that offered pancakes. They were delicious and came with a wonderful fruit sauce. They were very accommodating with breakfast times. We enjoyed a nice quiet and comfortable stay at Killaran House.

The Guesthouse has a patio seating area and all guests rooms have scenic views of woodland or river. The bedrooms are individually decorated and has en suite bathrooms with toiletries. Rooms also offer satellite TV, WiFi and seating area. Beautiful house and location. I had a wonderful, light corner room. Run by real professionals. Do follow their advice! The room was very comfortable. It was perfect to stay out on the peninsula with access to the natural beauty, stars and quiet but still have a bar and restaurant next door.

It was really a great experience. The room was gorgeous. And the breakfast... AMAZING !!!!!! Will definitely come back for a next trip in Kerry to enjoy the jacuzzi!
