Elsa, the owner/host, was incredibly helpful and friendly, and provided delicious home-baked bread with butter, cheese, and an assortment of jams every morning for breakfast. When I told her that unfortunately I was gluten intolerant, she thoughtfully provided me with delicious homemade almond-flour and date cookies as an alternative! The facility was very clean and thoughtfully decorated with original pieces of art and live plants in every room. In addition to the main guesthouse, which has three guest rooms, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen, the property also includes an outdoor sauna and hot tub, and a large additional building with laundry facilities, additional showers, and a spacious recreation room with a pool table and games. There is also two self-contained modern cabins and a campground on the property. The guesthouse is surrounded by nature and just minutes from the largest national forest in Iceland and ten minutes from the famous Hengifoss waterfall. Everything about this guesthouse was above and beyond our expectations. But we will particularly remember Elsa's kindness and thoughtfulness!

Set in a characteristic wooden house, Við Lónið Guesthouse is an accommodation in Seyðisfjörður. A very nice place to be, and what a wonderful host. After being stuck for two days due to road closure, Maggý was very helpful to deal with the situation, doing her best for our confort. The guest house is well located and what a lovely little town.

Maganda ang lokasyon ng Litla-Sandfell Guesthouse sa Stóra-Sandfell, 34 km lang mula sa Hengifoss at 45 km mula sa Gufu Waterfall. We LOVED the Hosts. FANTASTIC stay, so quiet, peaceful and comfortable. Love the heated bathroom floors. Breakfast was LOVELY....The food but mostly the hosts. Had the most delightful chat with them. Everything was well appointed and wonderful. Definitely would come back and recommend to others.🫶🏼
