Vogafjós Guesthouse er fjölskyldurekið gistihús sem staðsett er í einstakri náttúru austan við Mývatn. Boðið er upp á herbergi með innanhúsgarði og ókeypis Wi-Fi-Interneti. The cabin was very cozy and warm. It was equipped with all necessaties. We had our own shower and Toilette. Bathroom and room was very clean and the cabin was quite spacious. We had a parking spot right in front of the cabin. The main Restaurant was only a five minutes walk away. There is an option for breakfast, but we didnt try. Check in was very unproblematic and the staff was very nice. It was a perfect accomodation for us.

Birkilauf í Mývatni er staðsett í innan við 2,6 km fjarlægð frá jarðböðunum við Mývatn og býður upp á ýmis þægindi, þar á meðal útsýni yfir vatnið og fjöllin. If I could give more than 10, I would happily do it. It was a fantastic apartment. I was a bit hesitant about shared kitchen initially. But it was absolutely fine. It was huge and exceptionally clean, had loads of utensils and cooking equipment. A full size dishwasher. So they have set up the kitchen in a way that multiple people can cook same time. They also come every morning to clean and reset the kitchen. They also give free supplies like breads, tomato, butter, oils etc. Washing machine came in very handy as this was day 7 of our Iceland trip when we stayed in Birkilauf. Rooms are very nice, neat and clean. Bathroom also looks newly done up Location is very close to all main areas like Hverir geothermal, Hverfjall Volcano and Dimmuborgir and lake Myvatn. Overall everything was great. Highly recommend.

Eldá Guesthouse er staðsett í Reykjahlíð, aðeins í nokkurra mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Mývatni. Það er golfvöllur í 750 metra fjarlægð frá gististaðnum. Perfect spot to visit the spots around the Lake, close to the supermarket, clean, welcoming and comfortable room. The manager allowed me to check in way earlier because the room was free, so it was very nice. Amazing auroras directly from the guesthouse !

Skútustaðir Guesthouse er staðsett á sveitabæ við suðurströnd Mývatns og býður upp á sameiginlegt eldhús/setustofu og fjallaútsýni. Ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis bílastæði eru til staðar. Það var mjög gott að gista á Skútustöðum. Starfsfólkið er indælt, allt var hreint og fínt og morgunmaturinn var virkilega góður. Við komum örugglega aftur, takk fyrir okkur. Þetta gistihús er staðsett við Mývatn og býður upp á einföld herbergi með sameiginlegri aðstöðu. Jarðböðin við Mývatn eru í 10 mínútna akstursfjarlægð. I was directly surprised by the change. I was here five years ago and the equipment was bad. The renovation is great. Clean rooms, large kitchen and common room. Close to Pizza and restaurants with a farm. Very nice stafs.

Þetta gistihús er staðsett á sveitabæ við Mývatn og býður upp á herbergi og bústaði með eldunaraðstöðu, ókeypis WiFi og útsýni yfir náttúruna í kring. Jarðböðin við Mývatn eru í 10 mínútna... Great Breakfast, Nice host and nice view! It’s a good place to see northern light if weather is clear. Free parking in front of the guesthouse.

Þetta fjölskyldurekna gistihús er staðsett á kyrrlátum stað í 5 km fjarlægð frá þjóðvegi 1 og í 13 km fjarlægð frá Mývatni en það býður upp á útsýni yfir Sandfell. Nice ambiance, friendly staff and great breakfast

Vogahraun 4 er gististaður með garði við Mývatn, 5,8 km frá jarðböðunum við Mývatn. Herbergið var ágætt og snyrtilegt.

Hlid Hostel býður upp á herbergi og sumarbústaði en það er staðsett í 500 metra fjarlægð frá Mývatni, í Reykjahlíð. Boðið er upp á ókeypis Wi-Fi Internet og ókeypis bílastæði. Super big kitchen. Eating area with a view. Nice reception people let me check in early. Only me in the room. Heater was on when I got there and the whole place was very warm. Heated floor in the shower was amazing-- very deluxe.
