I Minami Aso, bare 31 kilometer fra Egao Kenko-stadion i Kumamoto og 37 kilometer fra Suizenji-parken ligger Wakka. Beautiful place with fantastic scenery. Beds, including the futon beds, are comfortable and mini kitchen is well equipped. Love the bath tub Owners are very friendly and welcoming. They even sent a note ahead of our arrival with their contact number in case we needed help finding the place.

The latter is at the foot of a historic and important Buddhist shrine and resting place of Kato Kiyomasa, builder of the Kumamoto Castle, while the former are generations-old family of soba makers. While breakfast didn't come with soba, it was one of the best I've eaten in Japan. The space is comfortable, traditional and has everything you may need, including excellent views of the city.

The host is incredibly kind and welcoming—it truly felt like coming home. The house itself is a beautiful traditional Japanese home, full of warmth and charm, and everything was spotless and comfortable. I instantly felt at peace here. If I had more time, I would have loved to stay longer. I will definitely come again and hope to stay at least a few weeks next time. This place has a special, calming energy. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!

Basically it's a room in a house with 4 rooms, with shared bathroom/kitchen/lounge. But very well done if you can live with that.

The host is the kindest host anyone could ever ask for. He made my stay very comfortable. He didn’t hesitate to provide needs and he even drove me with my luggages to my next destination. I am very grateful and happy to have stayed at this accommodation.
