Thomasha Homestay Wellawaya er staðsett í Wellawaya, 34 km frá brúnni Demodara Nine Arch Bridge og 6,9 km frá búddahofinu Buduruwagala. Boðið er upp á garð og garðútsýni. We all loved our stay with Thomasha and his family, they were all lovely and helpful with anything we needed. Thomashas wife even made us a delicious curry and rice for dinner. The building and rooms were all super colourful and cute. Brilliant location to experience a smaller local village but still able to access lots of nearby attractions

Mailagama Cinnamon Residence er nýlega enduruppgert gistihús í Kataragama, 21 km frá Situlpawwa. Það býður upp á garð og fjallaútsýni. Þetta gistihús er með loftkælingu og verönd. The manager of the the hotel Inbaraj was great! He made sure we had everything we needed and together with his team, he provided a great experience - from the cinnamon plantation tour to sri lankan food we had not tried before the whole team did their best. The manager also organized a great safari trip to Yala national park. The room was very big and clean. The hotel is surrounded by rice fields and nature.

Lake Front Yala Safari er staðsett í Kataragama, 18 km frá Tissa Wewa og 18 km frá Situlpawwa, og býður upp á garð- og vatnaútsýni. If you want an all inclusive experience, free of any hassle in Yala area, that’s the place. From breakfast to dinner with obviously a safari between. They are nice people.

Nobel Regency er staðsett í Bibile, 46 km frá Maduru Oya-þjóðgarðinum og býður upp á gistirými með garði og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Gististaðurinn er með garðútsýni. A bit hard to find, behind some shops and apartments, you have to go under the building through, well, a short tunnel really. Maps is fairly accurate so just look for a gap in the building. On the other side is an old house which is the Nobel Regency which should have seemed "hemmed in" by the apartments, but it wasn't as it is set in lovely gardens with many plants. It's an old house with old furniture, retro but very comfortable. Multiple common areas both inside and outside. I had a very big room with a huge bathroom which was original to the house and dated, a bit of a time-warp really, but very clean and perfectly comfortable. Good a/c and fan. Hot water and good water pressure. Comfortable bed. I was hot and tired from my motorbike journey and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They bought me a welcome drink. After I had showered, I asked for tea and a snack, and they bought me fruit and then tea and cake on the verandah. Nothing was too much trouble. I sat and read a book and they kept checking that I was comfortable and had everything that I wanted. I did notice that one of the rooms was small because they had added an en-suite bathroom in a sort of prefabricated unit inside the room. That seemed a bit unusual. But I suppose it is perfectly functional. It is an inexpensive place to stay. Very good Sri Lankan curries and rice dinner, fruit and dessert. Breakfast was also very good. This was a perfect choice for me. I didn't explore the town as I was only on a stopover for one night, and I left early the next morning. It was very comfortable with good food and fantastic hosts.

Mayka's lúxus sumarhús og Safari Thanamalwila eru vel staðsett fyrir fyrirhafnalausa dvöl í Tanamalwila. Gistihúsið er umkringt garðútsýni. Gististaðurinn er með garð, verönd og bílastæði á staðnum. Big room and bathroom with space to eat (so we could eat in our room instead of the restaurant upstairs, which was very cute tho...). Best wifi we had during our trip. Great location for Lunugamvehera Safari (we did not book it with them, but it seemed like we could because they also had a safari jeep). The owner speaks dutch and is very nice! We arranged a well priced tuktuk with her, that took us to Dickwella at 7 pm after our safari (about 2.30-3h drive). We enjoyed our stay and definitly recommend when visiting the Lunugamvehera side of Yala national park. Glad there was a restaurant in the hotel, because there did not seem to be much in the area (we didn't mind tho, we were only here for the safari :))

Hotel Serugahawatta er staðsett í Wellawaya og býður upp á gistirými með loftkælingu og svölum. Það er veitingastaður á staðnum og ókeypis einkabílastæði og ókeypis WiFi eru í boði. Even though hotel is located by the Ella-Wellawaya road, the location is very calm. Construction wasn't done in some parts of the facility. But the available rooms were at good standard. Good value to your money.

Boasting garden views, Kande Gedara Resort (කන්දෙ ගෙදර) features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 45 km from Buduruwagala Temple. The host really made us feel welcome at his gorgeous accomodation. He is a very interesting man with even better cooking skills. The food was all fresh prepared and was some of the best we had in Sri Lanka (and we had a lot). It was an absolute pleasure and we wish him all the best!

Humbhaha frumskóga yala natural eco resort er með útsýni yfir vatnið og býður upp á gistingu með ókeypis reiðhjólum, garði og grillaðstöðu, í um 18 km fjarlægð frá Situlpawwa. Just an amazing place. I recommended lots of people to go here because I loooved this! The people are just so nice, the food is so good. Vibes are really chilled. Loved the animals, the little fires and my little private hut. Met many nice people here.

Safari Lodge Yala er staðsett í Kataragama og býður upp á veitingastað og garðútsýni, 2,3 km frá Kataragama-hofinu og 16 km frá Lunugamvea-þjóðgarðinum. Ókeypis WiFi er til staðar. Great place to stay before/after doing a Yala safari. They were very helpful in organising a safari for us and breakfast to take with us on the safari. The room was clean and comfortable. Surrounded by nature. Less than 10 minute drive to town centre.

Wevthera Holiday Resort státar af útsýni yfir vatnið og býður upp á gistingu með garði og svölum, í um 21 km fjarlægð frá Situlpawwa. Gististaðurinn er með aðgang að verönd og ókeypis einkabílastæði. They let us check out 1400 no problem very accommodating.
