I was greeted by Monica who is extremely hospitable and welcoming and she gave me some great information on local walks and the nearby tunnel full of old photographs of life on Skrova. There is a huge shared lounge on the first floor, beautifully furnished and with TV, books and a good kitchenette (the photos on Booking.com don't do it justice as the furniture has been recently updated). I ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious! A great island to visit, and a lovely place to stay.

The dinner was the best we have had in Norway and it was wonderful to be one tiny part of preserving the history of such a beautiful place. We walked to the sculpture garden at our hosts recommendation and we were cozy inside while the wind blew and the sea crashed under the docking in the night.

The center of Leknes is just a few minutes' walk away. I didn't miss anything. My two-day stay was perfect, even though the weather was quite bad. Julie and her family were on vacation, but I received precise instructions on how to get into the house. I would gladly return anytime.
