Located in Dunedin, near Otago Museum, Taieri Gorge Railway and Forsyth Barr Stadium, Sahara Guest House has a shared lounge. The room was comfortable and toasty warm (even in Dunedins cold weather). The location is ideal if you’re on foot as walking distance to town. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and the staff were really friendly.

Located just 28 km from Central Otago District Council, Studio 585 provides accommodation in Alexandra with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as bicycle parking. Michelle was an awesome host. Her place is very cosy and a lot of thought has been put into every detail. Highly recommend staying at 585 when doing the trail (or for a stopover) Thank you 😊

Located in Dunedin, 19 km from Taieri Gorge Railway and 19 km from Toitu Otago Settlers Museum, Brighton Beach provides air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. Beautiful surrounding areas and a wonderful place to stay close to Dunedin. Clean and comfortable and the hosts were wonderful - they came to check on us and offered a towel change which was very appreciated. Really great place to relax away from the city.

Alpine Lakeside Studio, a property with a terrace, is situated in Queenstown, 4.7 km from Skyline Gondola and Luge, 16 km from Lake Wakatipu, as well as 20 km from The Remarkables. This gorgeous apartment had the most amazing unobstructed views over Lake Wakatipu from the deck!! It's a very comfortable but somewhat small place with all the expected amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was great. Parking was just outside the door of the apartment. It is a couple of miles out of town so is very peaceful and away from the business of Queenstown, yet easy to get into town in a few minutes.

Catlins Retreat B & B is situated in Owaka. Featuring garden and quiet street views, this guest house also includes free WiFi. Guests can access the guest house via private entrance. Spectacular restored Victorian decor—lots of room; comfortable bed; excellent communication with host; easy access to Catlins area. On the host's recommendation, we dined at the Lumberjack cafe (reservations required) - a truly spectacular meal. Overall, great value for the money.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a pool with a view, mountain view and a patio, Minaret Ridge Retreat is located in Wanaka. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip, and it was truly one of the highlights! Jay and Nikki’s guesthouse is cozy, peaceful, and full of personal touches that made us feel right at home. The space was clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up — much better than any hotel we’ve stayed in! Communication was smooth and warm from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy Wanaka. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and heartfelt stay. We hope to return someday!

Boasting garden views, Mike & Jenny's Kaka Point Accommodation offers accommodation with patio, around 400 metres from Kaka Point Beach. Jenny was extremely friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was lovely, very clean, had very comfortable bed and had a spectacular view. There was a short walk to town and the beach. Jennie provided exceptional recommendations to optimize our time and experience.
