We visited Panama for the second time, and once again, we absolutely loved it. While looking for a beautiful place to stay, we came across this little hidden gem 💍– and what a find it was! Arrival & Welcome We were picked up by a private boat and warmly welcomed. The boat ride took around 45 minutes and was truly enjoyable. Along the way, we received interesting information about the surrounding islands – and even spotted dolphins! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a delicious welcome cocktail before our first meal. Such a lovely touch!☀️😍 Room The room was spacious and very comfortable. We’ve seen a lot of bathrooms throughout Panama, and many of them lack a proper shower. But here – the shower was fantastic! Great water pressure and lovely hot water – such a treat. :) Breakfast Breakfast was amazing. The host really listened to our preferences, and I was thrilled to have my fried egg every morning – along with fresh fruit and avocado. A perfect start to the day! Lunch Lunch was absolutely delicious – we had shrimp with coconut rice and plantains. A real taste of local cuisine that felt authentic and lovingly prepared. Dinner The highlight of our meals was definitely pizza night on our last evening! It was such a fun, communal experience with homemade pizza in creative and tasty varieties. So cool – and honestly, unforgettable. Surroundings The water around the property was crystal clear – it felt like swimming in a private aquarium. We saw a small shark, a stingray, colorful fish, and more – all right in front of our room. I’m usually a bit hesitant in the water, but here, I felt completely safe and at ease. The trees, the light, the tranquility – I can’t even describe how beautiful it was. Truly one of my personal highlights – such peace and connection with nature. Activities The hosts’ children were incredibly kind and welcoming.

Offering views of the sea, La Loma Jungle Lodge and Chocolate Farm is located in Isla Bastimentos, 10 km from Bocas Town. Being fully immersed in the jungle is such an experience! Monkeys came to visit, saw so many animals/birds. Food was so so good! The organic chocolate has no match… just heavenly! Loved the bioluminescence excursion at night. Wonderful people at the facility. Really enjoyed it a lot!

Casa Acuario Boutique Hotel er staðsett í Carenero og býður upp á gistirými við ströndina, 2,7 km frá Y Griega-ströndinni. The attention to detail and way the rooms and hotel grounds were carefully curated was so unique and beautiful. You could tell a lot of time and effort goes into making sure guests have a unique experience, and I surely did as part of my stay. The location was perfect and easy to get to the main island and other islands within Bocas - not to mention the views over the water were insanely beautiful. The breakfast options in the morning were terrific and all the staff were so helpful and thorough in their duties . The owners were amazing and helped with suggestions on activities, transportation, and overall everything that you needed to know to have a great experience. They were super friendly and helpful, and they made my experience so much better by being just really good people. I’ve already recommended Casa Aquario to friends and family, and I look to go back again in the future. 10 out of 10 experience.

Bastimentos Hill Guest House er með garð, einkastrandsvæði, sameiginlega setustofu og verönd í Bocas del Toro. Staff were super friendly and Enrique was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about things on the island.

El Paso de Almirante er staðsett í Almirante og býður upp á sameiginlega setustofu. Gististaðurinn er með útsýni yfir borgina og innri húsgarðinn. We booked last minute after we missed the last boat to Bocas Town. The room was comfortable and clean. Good AC.

Really nice locally owned hostel right by the water :) great chill out area and my stay was made even better by the amazing volunteers who were so amazing and nice!! The hostel is clean and tidy, shared dorm has big lockers and private rooms were very spacious. The Zapatilla tour I booked through the hostel was super fun, we even got to go fishing and caught barracudas. I had a very memorable time in Bastimentos because of this hostel and would highly recommend it to everyone :)
