We liked the very clean rooms, the space was just enough for the two of us with two big suitcases. Also the balcony was a big plus and nice to hear the ocean sound. Check-in was flexible and easy, which is something we appreciated as we arrived rather late that night. Andy is a very welcoming host, he gave us tips on the area and explained to us how to use the washing machine etc. Would recommend this place !!

We stayed at Mahana House for two nights and absolutely loved it. The cottage was beautiful and incredibly comfortable — the bed even had adjustable firmness settings! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and there was a laundry room where we could wash and dry our clothes for free. The cat was adorable, and for the first time, my husband changed his opinion about cats — he actually liked this one! Randy takes great care of the orchard, and the longans were delicious. We truly appreciated the peaceful surroundings — it was perfect for mindfulness and relaxation. We shared photos on Instagram, and so many of our friends are now planning to visit too! It’s about a 15-minute drive from Hilo town, so having a car is necessary — but totally worth it. This place is truly a dream stay. Highly recommended!

Nestled in amongst coffee plants, vegetable gardens and bee hives, this is a little gem of a find. Peaceful surrounds no traffic, birds and frogs sing the night away. Thoroughly recommend.
