The room was updated and the king bed was very comfortable. They told us that the original owner is in his 80s and still goes into "work" everyday. They just celebrated their 40th anniversary.

It is exceptionally clean, and has an updated kitchenette and bathroom. The owner is such a nice guy and you can tell he really cares about his guests and making your stay comfortable and relaxing. They are also very dog friendly! The property is situated in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood but still close to the downtown square and shops/restaurants. We stayed here as we were moving out of Texas but if we ever find ourselves back in the area, we will definitely be staying here again!
