Well located in the centre of Santo Domingo, Tus Recuerdos offers a terrace, air conditioning, free WiFi and flat-screen TV. With city views, this accommodation provides a balcony. The property was simple CLEAN and boutique”ish”. Very creative art and just original stuff (bed, soap holder, sink) etc etc. it was tasteful and amazing. Host was amazing. She waited for me even after midnight given a late arrival. It’s one of these places where you immediately feel at home and no pressure. I am still impressed by my stay. Location was excellent. Close to everything, food, bars, clubs and it’s right on the Colonial Zone.

Absolutely everything! The host took such good care of us, as other guests have said previously, we felt like home. If you expect luxury, this is not the place for you. The island is not a place for you. Come here for an amazing experience of feeling far from noise, civilization and enjoy calmness. If we ever come back to the island, we are definitely staying here again. The little doggy Mindy was absolutely adorable!

Set in Santo Domingo, 300 metres from Montesinos and 4.3 km from the centre, El Conde De Atrini offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. the place is very clean and the facilities were beyond expectations. the location is perfect. the rooftop was so beautiful and there’s a jacuzzi where you can relax David and Elemis are amazing hosts and were very helpful and polite. they gave us tips about the area and even about other cities.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, casa maria is set in La Romana, 8.1 km from Teeth of the Dog and 12 km from Dye Fore. Excellent place to stay. We used it to bridge the time between two cruises. Bus station to Santo Domingo in walking distance. Very clean place. Hot water in shower. Silent A/C. Spacy living room to meet other travellers. Very nice interior. Fantastic hosts, that were very friendly, exceptional helpful that let one feel really at home. We got pampered. Safe and quiet place to stay. French or Spanish knowledge is an advantage. Have not been to places like this that often.

Complete with a shared lounge, Akunamatata Guest House Grand Case is situated in Grand Case, 200 metres from Grand Case Beach and 2.9 km from Anse Marcel Beach. Had an amazing stay at Akunamatata and would highly recommend it. The house was clean and spacious and only a few minutes from the Main Street of Grand Case and the beach. The kitchen had everything you needed while away. The outdoor area was relaxing and the bed very comfortable. Although we were sharing the house with other people it was a perfect place to stay. Thank you to Jamal for being so accommodating!

Set in Le Diamant, within 700 metres of Grande Anse du Diamant Beach, VILLA DIAMANTILLES - MAISON D'HOTES offers accommodation with air conditioning. The location of the villa is fabulous. Thirty minute drive from the airport and a five minute walk to the beach. Each of the three rooms has a different theme. Outside of our room were our own deck chairs and table. Each area was decorated and nicely lit. All rooms faced the pool and the beautiful sea. Travelling from the airport was very easy. The roads are good and well marked. Keep an eye peeled for the road to the villa. There is a sign but it is a narrow road and could be easy to miss! We felt very well taken care of during our stay. The breakfast, served al fresco, consisted of fresh local fruit, ham and prosciutto, fresh baguette and brioche, jams and homemade juice. Delicious! Would definitely stay there again!
