Very creative art and just original stuff (bed, soap holder, sink) etc etc. it was tasteful and amazing. Host was amazing. She waited for me even after midnight given a late arrival. It’s one of these places where you immediately feel at home and no pressure. I am still impressed by my stay. Location was excellent. Close to everything, food, bars, clubs and it’s right on the Colonial Zone.

Terletak di La Romana, 8,1 km dari Teeth of the Dog, casa maria menawarkan akomodasi dengan taman, parkir pribadi gratis, lounge bersama, dan teras. Honestly everything was great. Maria is so sweet and she runs the place herself. She makes breakfast every morning and makes getting around for the day easy, just ask and she'll call up a motocoach or car. It's on the upper floor of her house (separate entrance up the stairs) and there's three rooms that are a great size with modern bathrooms, fans and A/C. The shared area is spacious and gorgeous, with a full kitchen, dining table and a nook with comfy chairs by the windows. It's in a residential area with a colmado on the corner if you need a quick snack or drink. All in all I think this was my favorite place I stayed at while in DR, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in La Romana :). (Pics were taken after checkout but the linen and sheets were great as well!)

The location was fantastic, up a short steep climb to give a view of the bay, particularly good view from the lovely pool. Fairy lights lit up the pool area at night and there were chairs for sitting outside. Our room was charming with enough space around the double bed and a good sized bathroom with a very big shower. We opted for a home-made dinner one evening which was absolutely delicious (guacamole appetiser, soup, chicken Columbo and chocolate and lime mousse ) and with good company from fellow guests. Breakfasts were also delicious and thoughtfully prepared and included fresh fruit, fresh mixed juice, pastries, bread and a choice of egg. On reflection we think that the food here was better than most of the food we had in restaurants in both Martinique and Guadeloupe. Tea and coffee was available throughout the day and a fridge supplied in the common area for guests to keep food in if needed (understandably no food allowed in the rooms). Stephanie was a delightful host and managed to combine her family (in a separate part of the house), her 2 cats and her guests with a wonderful balance. Stephanie also speaks very good English.
