Feel at home in Strobl – find your kind of homestay

The apartment had absolutely everything that we could've wanted. Extremely well furnished with beautiful crockery, great views. Host very friendly and responsive, accommodating to our requests also. In the summer there are many insects, but one of the windows had an insect screen so we could still enjoy the breeze without getting bitten - this is the kind of attention to detail you can expect from this place! Extremely affordable for such a lovely apartment. Access to bus 150 (direct to Salzburg/ Bad Ischl) from the main road is convenient. As this property is located within Salzburg province, we had the guest mobility ticket for free public transport within Salzburg.

Beautiful location surrounded by mountains, nestled in a charming village near Strobl. I truly wanted to experience authentic Austrian village life, and this place made that dream come true. Although close to popular tourist spots, the area remains peaceful and quiet.

The apartment is big, very bright and fully equipped. The location is amazing, you can find great hiking trails just next to the property.

The room was cosy, the staff were fantastic, recommended nice restaurants in the area, explained how to get to the Bahn, good breakfast

Everything! The view from my window was absolutely amazing. Franziska was the best host and spoke great English. The room was large and comfy bed and an ensure with all the amenities. Breakfast is European style with cold cuts cheese, museli and selection of bread. Close drive to borh Salzburg or Hallatatt for function of the price! I just wish we lived closer.

Exceptionally high standard of finish throughout, this apartment far exceeded our expectations. It is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It's hard to describe how lovely it is, I don't think the pictures on the listing do it justice. The apartment is located on the top floor of this guest house. We were just 2 people but it's prefect for a family of 4. Large master bedroom with king bed which was very comfy, 2nd smaller twin bedroom ~ both rooms with blackout blinds and plenty of high quality finish furniture; large bathroom with rear wet room with 2 shower heads (!), large sink with 2 sets of taps, 2 heated towel rails and separate toilet. Moving to the lounge kitchen diner, this is one lovely big space with a picture window overlooking the surrounding countryside with a view to the lake from the balcony. The kitchen is small but has a lot of equipment (note no oven but there is the hob, and a George Foreman type grill). The dining area is spacious with a large table and seating for 4, the lounge has a sofa, coffee table and TV. There are some games provided but these are (understandably) in German. From the balcony is a stunning outlook overlooking the lake. You have a table, 4 chairs and umbrella. It's a gorgeous location, very peaceful, not many neighbouring properties, perfect for walks or activities on the lake. Despite the rural location you're only about 20 minutes drive from Salzburg and all that it has to offer. There's also a free bus service available into the city. Because we were self catering we didn't have breakfast but could have done and the breakfast room looked lovely. Maria the host is very kind, helpful and genuine. I can't recommend her accommodation highly enough and really hope I have a reason to return one day. Thank you Maria!
