Just 2 min away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka ( Silent Beach). Nice and friendly host family as well as all other locals - we spent amazing 5 nights there! I was offered the choice of Sri Lankan or western breakfasts, I chose Sri Lankan. The breakfasts were huge, and different each morning. The bedroom was large, and there was a large shaded open space just for me. It was a wonderful place to spend a few days, quiet, away from the Tangalle strip, close to the Madakatiya beach, with the lifeguarded Tangalle Town Beach a short walk away. It's located 5 minutes away from the silent beach in a quiet area away from the main road with few restaurants and other homestays around. Kavidi is a great cook and the dinner and breakfast served is outstanding. The rooms are clean and have a perfect size. AC and hot shower is also available. The area of the beach the turtles come ashore. This is not a swimming beach. It is a beautiful, wild beach with sand that you sink into as you walk. Loud, booming waves you can hear from the homestay. We had a very nice room with a big, private balcony. Lots of birds and squirrels, sometimes monkeys, come to visit. We stayed 7 glorious days.
