As everybody else mentioned, the owner is extremely friendly. The location is not bad as you can reach everything within the city center by walking.

Ana and her husband were excellent hosts. The accommodation was very clean and beds were comfortable. She provided a lot of useful information about the island of Sao Jorge. Our group enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and patio after touring the island during the day. The location was a short walk from the ferry which was helpful.

Rui was a fantastic host. His family, including Jack, the fabulous friendly waggy dog were all very friendly. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the location and the view. Everything was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. A huge thank you to Rui for his fantastic suggestions for our day trip. It was a perfect recommendation to one of the best hiking trails I’ve ever been on and Rui’s practical suggestions made it all doable.

Did not expect at all to find such a gem in a small island like Sao Jorge. If you are like me that appreciate refined taste in design, colors, choice of art and immaculate service, than, Quinta dos Misterios is the place for you…and for you, the ones never had the opportunity of staying in a luxury home and want to learn and differenciate from execelency and mediocre, do yourself a favor and treat yourself. Breakfast was magnificent , do not have words to describe it.

Lina and Rui are the sweetest, warmest hosts ever. They made sure we had everything we needed and more! Their house is beautiful and huge, we had a lot of freedom and still we had the feeling they were close by if we needed them. They made us a map with the best things to see around the island and it was just great. It was awesome, especially for the price we paid.
