Offering a garden and city view, Hostal y Cabañas Mozart is located in Puerto Montt, 46 km from Pablo Fierro Museum and 27 km from Lutheran Temple. My son and I had a wonderful time staying with Andrea and her husband. We rented the yellow house which was right on the water. The accomodation was spacious, very cute and perfect for us. I had a bedroom and ensuite upstairs, my son the room downstairs with his own bathroom. The kitchen was small but adequate and the fact that Andrea supplied breakfast each day made it easy to self cater. Situated in a very picturesque setting it was a perfect base to explore the lakes district of Chile. A car was essential.

This is, without a doubt, the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire traveling history, and I’ve visited over 50 countries! The house itself is stunning, filled with beautiful artwork in every corner, creating a warm and creative atmosphere. Everything is impeccably clean, and the location is perfect for exploring. But what made my experience truly unique and unforgettable was the host, Miguel. He is, if not the best, one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met in my life. Kind, hospitable, generous, kind-hearted, cheerful, and easygoing. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how amazing he is! Thanks to him, I learned so much about Chilean traditions, especially those of Chiloé, as well as its gastronomy and history. If I ever return to Chile (and I definitely will!), I’ll make sure to come back to Castro just to see Miguel again. This place isn’t just a hostel; it’s a home away from home, thanks to the incredible host. 100% recommended!
