We loved the frogs that live around the accomodation and can be seen early morning. It's definitely worth the stay, even the accomodation is close to the highway which is little loud during the night.

Kim is super nice and gave us tips on what to do around in Cahuita. The vibe is chill and everything was super clean. The bedrooms are comfortable. The dog is cute and friendly and overall it was an amazing stay. Super recommend!

Extremely friendly, have great local recommendations and made me feel welcome as part of the family straight away. The house is very peaceful and a great place to relax, with easy access to Playa Negra, several local bars and a short walk to the centre of Cahuita and Cahuita National Park. You can see numerous animals in the surroundings (I saw a little Capybara 🥹). Casa Aldirica is a fantastic place to stay and I would whole-heartedly recommend it! Pura Vida 😊

The hosts are an extremely friendly family that really make you feel welcome in their home. We spend the night on our way to Tortuguero and are glad that we did.

We loved staying at Hugo and Ailin's place. It's located almost right next to Tortuguero National Park and offers everything you need for a few days in nature. The accommodation is of high quality compared to other Airbnbs in the area, and it's more affordable than a hotel. Ailin was an excellent host and even helped arrange tours for us. We were expected at La Pavona and then again upon our arrival in Tortuguero at Muelle Principal, making our arrival smooth and well-organized. I would also recommend this place for families with children. There are two large beds, a small kitchenette, air conditioning, and even a flat-screen TV with Netflix and more.

The setting is exceptional - there is no better place to hear and see the full spectrum of the jungle activity day and night. The new argentinian owner, Gonzalo, is fully dedicated to making this place an unforgettable experience for everyone. I especially appreciated all the eco-friendly touches he added to the main building. He is very consciencious and knows Costa Rica inside out. And If you don't usually like bunk beds, give this a try: the high wooden roof make the rooms feel very spacious, and the upper bunk is next to the windows screen and the jungle outside, with a net, privacy curtain, reading light and fan. Top confort. The general vibes of the hostel were chill, and guests were all happy to extend their stay. As a plus, the best grocery store in the region is just down the road.
